I love the podcast. We are working on a website that will help teachers find the best lesson plans that are shared by their peers. The website is http://www.applebatch.com. The signup is free and secure and I think it is something that would be helpful to your audience.

As a middle school FCS teacher, I find it hard to find current information specifically targeted to my content area and to applying technology to my teaching of my content. You have managed to do both! Thank you for spotlighting use of technology in a non-core subject area. I applaud you and Mrs. Shank for your willingness to explore application of technology and for sharing.

I have posted some of my thoughts on my blog: http://morethanoneway.wordpress.com/2009/06/15/persistence-pays/

Thanks for the kind words, Donette.

I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of working directly with Tina when I was at Penn Manor. Tina made it fun to go to work and is part of the reason I transitioned from ‘pure techie’ to ‘instructional techie.’

Thanks for the nice post on your blog as well.

    :)

Mrs. Shank is a great example how teachers can use more technology in their classroom. Like D. Yielding said, it is difficult to find good resources and tools. I’m working on Applebatch.com which hopefully will solve this problem by providing an online teacher community geared toward allowing teachers to share resources and find jobs. All of our services are completely free to educators so come check us out.
